What types of photography services do you offer?
We offer a range of customizable portrait sessions, a seasonal curated session, as well as a limited amount of elopements & engagements per year.
How do I book a photography session with you guys?
Booking a photography session is easy! Simply reach out to us through our contact form to get the ball rolling. We will follow up with an email and set up a call discuss what you're looking for and how we can bring your goals to life. Read more about our process here!
Can I choose the location for my shoot?
Of course! We are based just outside New York City, but are always excited for an adventure.
As long as we're legally allowed to shoot at the location, we are happy to make it happen! We will cover any details pertaining to locations on our initial planning call & will make sure we have all the access or permits (if needed) to have a great shoot day.
How long does a typical photo session last?
For a solo portrait session, we generally estimate 45 minutes per look, and for duos/couples we estimate around 60 minutes per look. Our elopement sessions generally last 2 hours.
This allows for setup, subtle adjustments, and some time for us to get those amazing shots! Every shoot is unique though, so times may vary based on your sessions specific details.
what is a "look"?
When we use the term "look", it signifies a general outfit, makeup, and hair style together. If you book a session with one look, you would stick with that same arrangement throughout the shoot. If you wanted to make a small adjustment, such as adding a different lipstick color or a jacket half way through, that would still be within your one look. Any full changes of outfit, makeup or hair style would add another look onto the shoot. This helps us to accurately plan for our time throughout the shoot.
Do you shoot film as well?
Yes!! We love the unique quality that shooting on film creates, and have a few different cameras that provide stunning and unique results. 35mm, 120mm, medium format, and polaroid to name a few! Contact us to learn more <3
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
Our editing process usually takes around 1-2 weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required for your shoot. Once we receive your final selects for any additional post production, those would be back to you within 1-2 weeks as well. This is necessary to allow us time to work comfortably between other shoots and travel days since we don't outsource our post production.
If you do need your images in a shorter time frame for any reason, we are happy to discuss how we can accommodate if possible (typically for a small rush fee) - just let us know any time restraints you may have up front!
What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?
We aim to come prepared for any situations that may arise - weather being a main consideration. When planning our sessions, we discuss a backup plan, in the event the weather doesn't cooperate with us come shoot time.
Often though, unruly or atypical weather lends itself to truly amazing imagery that is worth diving into! We have many tools in our belt to help the weather work for us throughout the year; with the help of gear, lighting, and our expertise.
When pressing on isn't possible: we may have a backup time slot, an alternate location, or a "rain-date" to reschedule when possible. We want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos, and we're flexible in adapting to any unforeseen circumstances.
Can my partner or bff come along?
Absolutely!! If there is someone you want to be there who will make you feel supported and safe, or just to be an additional hype-man, that is absolutely okay with us.
